Your 2025 Nantucket Thanksgiving Guide
Thanksgiving on Nantucket is a cozy kickoff to the holiday season. With something for everyone, Nantucket offers many community traditions and events to keep all ages busy. Below is a list of all things perfect to kick off your holiday week!
24th Annual Turkey Plunge
When: Thursday, November 27th: arrive around 9am for the 10am dive
Where: Children's Beach, located off of HarborView Way
What: Jump into the freezing cold water with hundreds of others to raise funds for the Weezie Library for Children
Tips: register early for $35, or pay $50 day of, and bring warm clothes and many towels!
Tree Lighting Ceremony
When: Friday, November 28th: 4pm-5:30pm
Where: Top of Main Street
What: 150 Christmas trees will light up as the Nantucket High School Accidentals & Naturals lead caroling
Turkey Bowling & Office Chair Hockey
When: Wednesday, November 26: 4pm-10pm
Where: The Rose & Crown, 23 S Water Street
What: Turkey Bowling for the kids from 4pm - 6pm, followed by Office Chair Street Hockey for the adults at 9pm

Festival of Wreaths
When: Tuesday November 25-Saturday November 29, 10am-4pm
Where: Whaling Museum, 15 Broad St
What: Nantucket Historical Association displays wreaths made by community members. A silent auction is held for attendees to bid on the wreaths, with all proceeds benefiting the NHA.

11th Annual Run for Robin 5k
When: Sunday, November 23: 10am-11:15am
Where: Starts at Sconset Casino → Sankaty Lighthouse → back to Sconset Casino
What: 5k to honor Robin Harvey, who was tragically hit by a car while training for the Boston Marathon in 2015. The race raises money for the Harvey Foundation and their scholarship award.

Nantucket Meat and Fish Market
Order a Fresh Vermont Misty Knoll Turkey, pies, and sides. To place an order, call their number or order in person at the butcher shop.
Bartletts Farm
Whole, uncooked turkey, with choices of essential thanksgiving sides and deserts. To be picked up on Tuesday, November 25 or Wednesday, November 26. Click here to place an order on their website before November 20th.
Company of the Cauldron
Offers a complete Thanksgiving meal and add-ons to be picked up on Thanksgiving day to be brought home. One meal is said to feed one person. Click here to place an order ASAP, before they sell out!

After the Cold Turkey Plunge, enjoy hot cider and cocoa on the front porch from 10:15-11am.
On the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, there will be special menu features, and on Nov. 30th, there will be a Sunday brunch following the holiday weekend.
