Laura Belair

Laura Belair

Originally from Pennsylvania, Laura’s passion for houses and architecture sparked at a young age. From the start, she was drawn to all aspects of design and construction. Her first introduction to Nantucket came during college summers, where she worked in several beloved hospitality and retail establishments, building lasting relationships and a deep connection to the island.

After graduating from the University of Vermont in 1999, Laura moved to Nantucket permanently, accepting a position as a science teacher at the Nantucket New School, where she taught Pre-K through 8th grade. In 2004, Laura transitioned into real estate, joining Greg McKechnie and Bill Liddle at Great Point Properties, just two years after the company’s founding.

For the past 20 years, Laura has been a dedicated sales and rental broker with Great Point Properties, leveraging her professional expertise and a deep personal appreciation for Nantucket’s unique charm. Known for her keen eye for detail, organizational skills, and client-centered approach, she’s built a reputation for offering reliable guidance throughout the buying, selling, and rental processes.

When she’s not helping clients navigate the island’s real estate market, Laura enjoys hosting friends and family for iconic Nantucket events like Daffodil and Stroll weekends, practicing yoga, pilates, and barre, and taking long walks along the island’s extensive conservation trails.

Laura’s husband, Rich, is a project manager for one of Nantucket’s residential building firms, and together they enjoy spending time with his two daughters, Nicole and Lindsay, and their families. A lover of travel, Laura is working toward her goal of visiting all the locations featured on the Gardiner’s Corner compass wall, having already visited 13 and with 14 more to go.

With two decades of island experience, Laura is passionate about helping clients find their own special place on Nantucket—whether it’s a first home, an investment property, or a vacation retreat—and is committed to providing exceptional service every step of the way.
